ROSEMEAD, Calif., Aug. 9, 2010 – Southern California Edison (SCE) is holding free solar fairs in Tulare and Long Beach to help connect residential customers who are interested in installing solar systems on their homes with contractors who can do the work.

At the solar fairs, SCE customers will be able to:

  • Meet with multiple, licensed solar contractors at a single location.
  • Schedule an inspection to determine their home’s potential for an effective solar system.
  • Learn about California Solar Initiative program incentives, tax credits and financing options that can help lower out-of-pocket costs.

Although these events are free, registration is required because space is limited. To register or for more information, SCE customers should send an e-mail that includes their name, complete mailing address and phone number to homesolar@sce.com. They may also call (866) 970-9221.

SCE is no longer accepting applications from solar contractors to attend these two events.
