ROSEMEAD, Calif., July 3, 2001-Southern California Edison (SCE) employees are available to address local groups on a variety of subjects related to the company and the electric industry, including the state's current electricity crisis and ways to conserve energy at a time when energy costs are rising.
"Among other things, our speakers can address the energy crisis, recent changes in our industry, electrical safety, alternate energy sources, electric transportation, career-day presentations, and energy conservation," said Karen Shepard-Grimes, administrator of the company's speakers' bureau.
The free presentations are available to local service organizations, schools, religious groups, and other civic and community groups. To arrange for a presentation, call Shepard-Grimes at (626) 302-7892. Requests also can be submitted using SCE's media Web site at www.sce.com.
Due to high demand, requests should be made at least four weeks in advance.
