Garden Grove, Calif., June 21, 2002 -Southern California Edison (SCE) in partnership with water, gas, power, and telecommunication utilities is participating in a community utility fair in Garden Grove on Saturday, June 29, to show area residents how they can conserve energy and better manage their utility bills.
"SCE will have exhibits, demonstrations and information on energy-efficient products and special rate reduction programs such as Medical Baseline and the California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) program which provides a 20% energy discount for qualified customers, along with other displays from utility companies," said Eddie Marquez, SCE Public Affairs Region Manager for Central Orange County.
State Senator Joseph Dunn will also be on hand to meet area residents and discuss the importance of energy conservation. "The goal of this fair is to help residential and small business customers reduce energy use, become more energy efficient and lower electric bills. It goes hand-in-hand with my outreach efforts to the community," said Dunn.
The community utility fair will be held at the entrance to the Target Store located at the intersection of Harbor Blvd. and Chapman Avenue from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
