ROSEMEAD, Calif., March 20, 2001-Southern California Edison has scheduled a telephone news conference for 10 a.m. today to inform the media about the local impact of rotating outages in its service area.  SCE and the state's other investor-owned utilities are temporarily interrupting service to groups of customers until Cal-ISO achieves adequate power reserves.

The media may call (877) 475-9234, using access code 725024 (host name Clarence Brown), to join the conference, which will be conducted by Dick Rosenblum, SCE senior vice president for distribution and transmission.
