ROSEMEAD, Calif., May 11, 2001-Southern California Edison (SCE) is offering customers with swimming pools two new opportunities to save money and energy this summer.
The Pool Pump Timer program pays a $40 rebate to customers who agree to set their pool pump timer to operate during off-peak hours (6 p.m. to noon the following day) from June 1 through Sept. 30. To qualify, pool owners and renters must enroll by May 31.
The Pool Pump Rebate program offers as much as $100 to homeowners or renters buying and installing a qualifying new energy-efficient pool pump or motor. Customers must contact SCE to reserve rebate funds before purchase. A rebate application and list of qualifying pump and motor models will be mailed to eligible customers. A list of qualifying pumps and motors is also available at www.sce.com. This program ends Sept. 30.
