ROSEMEAD, Calif., Jan. 24, 2001-Southern California Edison was granted a temporary injunction today by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Yaffe preventing the Power Exchange from selling or liquidating the utility's forward power contracts.  The order will be in effect through Feb. 2, 2001.

We are gratified that the court took this action preserving for now our lower-cost, long-term power contracts and giving the governor and other state officials time to act to resolve the state's energy crisis.
