ROSEMEAD, Calif., July 27, 2001-Southern California Edison (SCE) and the Orange County Chambers of Commerce today announced they are sponsoring the Business Energy Solutions Expo on July 31 at Edison International Field.  The Expo will showcase the Express Efficiency Rebate Program for small-to-medium-sized commercial customers.  Business owners can receive rebates for retrofitting and replacing a variety of equipment with new, energy-efficient technology.

"SCE encourages its business customers to create a specific plan to conserve energy as rates rise and California faces the challenge of energy supply shortages, " said Lynda Ziegler, SCE's director of business and regulatory planning. "The Expo will help our business customers learn about the Express Efficiency Rebate Program and ways to save energy and lower their energy costs."

A variety of workshops are scheduled during the Expo that will cover lighting, refrigeration, air conditioning and window tinting.  Attendees will learn how to apply for Express Efficiency rebates and be able to meet one-on-one with SCE certified energy efficiency consultants.  Information on how to finance the purchase of new equipment will also be available.

The Business Energy Solutions Expo is free, including parking, and will be held from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Edison International Field.  For more information, and to register for the Expo, please call (626) 812-7530 or visit www.sce.com.
