ROSEMEAD, Calif., March 6, 2007—The Edison International board of directors has elected Scott Cunningham vice president, responsible for investor relations, effective March 19, 2007.
"We are pleased to have a person of Scott's experience and skill joining the Edison International team and leading our investor relations program," said Tom McDaniel, Edison International executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer.
Cunningham currently serves as vice president of investor relations for AES Corporation. One of the world’s largest power companies, AES owns a diverse portfolio of global generation and distribution businesses. Previously he established the investor relations program at Praxair Inc., a global industrial gases supplier, led Praxair’s strategic planning function, managed the company’s regional distribution business, and served as assistant treasurer. He also has held positions in the treasury and government relations groups of Union Carbide, and engineering roles at the U.S. Department of the Interior and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Cunningham holds a B.S. degree from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University. A native of Washington, D.C., he currently lives with his wife and two sons in McLean, Virginia.
