ROSEMEAD, Calif., April 26, 2005—The Southern California Edison (SCE) Board of Directors has elected Ann Cohn vice president and associate general counsel for SCE, effective May 1.  Prior to this promotion, Cohn served as associate general counsel for both SCE and Edison International, SCE’s parent company.  With the promotion, Cohn will serve SCE exclusively.

Since 1980, Cohn has served in a variety of positions for the Edison companies, including associate general counsel at Edison Mission Energy, an independent power producer, and vice president of EME’s Americas region legal division.  Before that she was associate general counsel at Edison International and SCE, where her responsibilities included state and federal regulatory and legislative issues facing the companies.

“Throughout her 25 years with the company,” said Al Fohrer, chief executive officer for SCE, “Ann has been recognized for the high quality of her work and has had leadership roles in a number of the company’s most important projects.”

Cohn received her undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University and her J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio.  She also completed the program for management development at Harvard Business School.

Cohn resides in Duarte, California, with her sister and niece.
