The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) today approved an extension of a feature of SCE's last General Rate Case (GRC) that places the company at risk for operational inefficiencies and rewards operational excellence.  SCE requested the extension when its upcoming GRC was delayed due to circumstances related to California's energy crisis.  In response, Bob Foster, SCE president, issued the following statement.

ROSEMEAD, Calif., April 22, 2002-This decision represents a constructive step toward our goal of achieving a full financial recovery.
