ROSEMEAD, Calif., Dec. 14, 2010 – Edison International (NYSE:EIX) announced today the promotions of two Southern California Edison (SCE) senior executives. Lynda Ziegler, senior vice president of Customer Service, and Steve Pickett, senior vice president and general counsel, will become executive vice presidents at SCE effective Jan. 1, 2011.
The appointments support the recent election of Ronald L. Litzinger as president of SCE, effective Jan. 1, 2011. Litzinger has led Edison Mission Group (EMG) since 2008 and has been with Edison International since 1986. Under Litzinger’s leadership, Ziegler and Pickett will lead the two key functional areas of power delivery services and external affairs, respectively.
“We are truly fortunate to have professionals of Lynda and Steve’s caliber to help Ron lead SCE during these dynamic times,” said Theodore F. Craver, Jr., Edison International chairman and CEO. “Lynda’s leadership has enabled SCE to provide industry-leading customer service programs to our 4.9 million customers, including the successful implementation of our smart meter program. Steve has been instrumental in directing the company’s interaction with a variety of key governmental and regulatory agencies, which provides an excellent foundation for leading external affairs activities at SCE,” said Craver.
In her new role as executive vice president of power delivery services, Ziegler will oversee transmission and distribution, operations support, information technology and business integration services as well as customer service. She began her career at SCE in 1981 in conservation planning and has held a variety of positions in service planning, energy efficiency and customer service. She was elected to her current position in 2006. Ziegler earned an M.B.A. at California State University, Fullerton, and a B.S. in marketing at California State University, Long Beach.
As executive vice president of external relations, Pickett will lead regulatory affairs and operations, public affairs, corporate communications and environmental policy. He joined SCE in 1978 as an attorney and rose to associate general counsel in 1998, vice president and general counsel in 2000 and senior vice president in 2002. He received a B.S. in electrical engineering from California State University, Los Angeles, and his J.D. from Southwestern Law School.
